Dawn (better known to close friends as Dawn Marie) made her debut in the beauty and fashion industry at a tender age in 1977 as a model. Selected from hundreds of babies, she landed the cover for the Ohio Players – The Best of the Early Years album. After a few commercials and too many go-sees with siblings in-tow, Dawn’s mother decided to throw in the towel as far as a modeling career went.
 
After finding herself out of work shortly after the devastation of 9/11, Dawn took to agencies and began promotional modeling, freelancing with various brands like Hypnotic, Max Factor and Cover Girl. While enjoying working with clients and more makeup brands, Dawn saught to gain more experience in the beauty world. Obtaining a position with the prestigious Estee Lauder, she was able to jump-start her career as an industry professional.
 
After working in corporate for some time, Dawn returned to retail where it all started, continuing to share her passion with many clients, friends and family working as a makeup artist privately and maintaining her blog ProjectBeaute.com.
